South Canterbury Rural Fire District Notice 1998 Amendment No. 4

Pursuant to section 4 of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the South Canterbury Rural Fire District Notice 1998 Amendment No. 4.
(2) This notice will come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
2. Amendment of Rural Fire District Notice—The principal notice* is hereby amended by deleting the Schedule and inserting a new Schedule as follows:
“Canterbury Land District
Land Included in the Rural Fire District
1. All those parcels containing 1,157,000 hectares, shown on SO 19960 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Canterbury, as the same on those plans numbered NRFA 129 deposited in the Headquarters of the New Zealand Fire Service at Wellington.
2. All those parcels containing 5402.6629 hectares, being Reserve 3543 as shown on SO 1491; Lot 1 DP 58553; Lot 2 DP 58554; Lots 3, 4 and 5 DP 58555, more commonly known as Geraldine Forest.
3. All those parcels containing 4588.9109 hectares, being Lots 1, 2, and 4 DP 43809; Lots 5, 6 and 7 DP 43954; Lot 1 DP 60168; Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 DP 60169 and Lots 11, 12, 13 and 14 DP 60170, more commonly known as Waimate Forest.
4. All those parcels of land marked “E” and “F” on SO 302746; also shown on plans numbered NRFA 0703 held at the offices of the National Rural Fire Authority, Wellington.
5. All those parcels of land marked “AJ” on SO 19960, more commonly known as Opihi River Bed Hanging Rock.
6. All those parcels of land marked part “FF” on SO 19960, more commonly known as Opihi River Bed Rockwood.
7. All those parcels of land marked “X” on SO 19960, more commonly known as Orari River Bed Coopers Creek.
8. Reserves 4254 and 3883; shown on SO 6401 and SO 4965, more commonly known as Hae Hae Te Moana Scenic Reserve.
9. Part Reserves 3035 and 3347, part Rural Section 17921, Rural Sections 41039, 34510, 41038, 34858, 40540, 40542, 36232 and Lot 3 DP 97960; shown as part Section 1, Sections 5 and 6 on SO 17117, and more commonly known as Hook Bush Conservation Area.
10. Rural Sections 23810, 30316, 19099, 42130, part Rural Section 40435 and part Reserves 3347 and 4249; shown as part Section 1 and Section 9 on SO 17117, and more commonly known as Gunns Bush Scenic Reserve.
11. Part Rural Sections 29896, 30046, 30047, 31214, 32496, 32523, 32424 and 32871 and part Lot 7 DP 607; shown as Sections 10 on SO 17117, and more commonly known as Kelceys Bush Conservation Area.
12. Part Rural Sections 32680, 40436, 33339, 32679, 32507, 40437, 28648, 40435 and Crown Land (under action) SO 3749; shown as Section 7 on SO 17117,
and more commonly known as North Waihao Bush Conservation Area.
13. Part Rural Sections 40885 and 40886; marked part “FF” on SO 19960, and more commonly known as Pioneer Park Conservation Area.
Those areas numbered 5–13 above are also shown on plans numbered NRFA 0706 held at the office of the National Rural Fire Authority in Wellington.
Land Excluded from the Rural Fire District
1. All those parcels of land marked “D” on SO 302746, also shown on plans numbered NRFA 0703 held
at the offices of the National Rural Fire Authority, Wellington.
2. Section 10 SO 336907 and Section 1 SO 19914, more commonly known as Part Ruataniwha Conservation Park.
3. Sections 26–31 SO 320101, more commonly known as Ben Ohau Conservation Area.
4. Lot 1 DP 69547, more commonly known as Ahanui Conservation Area.
5. Sections 3–5 SO 325003, more commonly known as Clayton Conservation Area.
6. Part Section 21 SO 13242, more commonly known as Hunter Hills Conservation Area.
Those areas numbered 2–6 above are also shown on plans numbered NRFA 0706 held at the office of the National Rural Fire Authority in Wellington.”
