Notification of Proposal to Make Ordinary Rules

In accordance with section 34(1)(a) of the Civil
Aviation Act 1990, the Minister of Transport hereby
gives notice of intention to make the following ordinary Civil Aviation Rules:
Part 61-Pilot Licences and Ratings - The purpose
of this rule-making proposal is to introduce new
rule requirements for a new pilot licence type, the Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL). The new rules prescribe the eligibility requirements, privileges and limitations, currency requirements, and medical requirements, through amendments to Civil Aviation Rule (CAR) Part 61. (NPRM No. 07-08, CAA Docket 7/CAR/2 Part 61-Recreational Pilot Licence).
