Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority gives notice of its intention to apply for the approval of the Code of Practice Above Ground Stationary Tanks with Integral Secondary Containment (including Portable User Facilities).
The code sets out a means of compliance with the requirements of Schedule 9 clause 3 and Schedule 10 clause 33(1)(b) of the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004
(as amended) in respect of above ground stationary tanks with integral secondary containment and which contain hazardous substances with 3.1 hazard classification.
