In accordance with section 161(2) of the Land Transport Act 1998, Land Transport New Zealand, on behalf of the Minister of Transport, gives notice of the Minister’s intention to make a Rule that proposes to amend Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Equipment 2004 (Rule 32017)
(the Vehicle Equipment Rule), and advises that draft
Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Equipment Amendment [2007] (Rule 32017/2) is available for public comment.
The main reasons for amending the Vehicle Equipment
Rule are to bring the existing objective noise test within the warrant of fitness (WoF) and certificate of fitness (CoF) testing regime, and to review the decibel limits for exhaust noise.
