Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances
and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority advises that it approved, on
13 February 2007, the Code of Practice for Hazardous Substances Storage.
This code is intended to assist persons in charge, approved handlers and other people who store hazardous substances, to meet the segregation requirements of the Hazardous Substances (Classes 1 to 5 Controls) Regulations 2001.
This code can be inspected at the Wellington office of ERMA New Zealand, Level 1, BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, and will be able to be purchased from the New Zealand Chemical Industry Council, PO Box 5069, Wellington.
