Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Community Relations Manager for the Southland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the land described in the First and Second Schedules is held for conservation purposes and further declares the land in the First Schedule is to be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of the latter Act, and vests the reserve in the Southland District Council in trust for that purpose.
