Section 24 (A) of the Reserves Act 1977 allows the Queenstown Lakes District Council (“the council”) to change the purpose of a local purpose reserve.
Under the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977, the council passed a resolution at its meeting of 29 September 2006, to change the purpose from local purpose (site for a playcentre) reserve to local purpose (amenity) reserve in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

All that piece of land, being 399 square metres, and described as Section 1, Block IX, Town of Queenstown (New Zealand Gazette, 30 August 1979, No. 82, page 2580), SO 14826.
