Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a scientific reserve for the purposes specified in section 21 (1) of the Act and declares that the scientific reserve is to be known as the Motu Manawa/Pollen Island Scientific Reserve.
