Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies that part of the reserve described in the First Schedule as a recreation reserve and further, classifies that part of the reserve described in the Second Schedule as a local purpose reserve (transfer/landfill) and further, classifies that part of the reserve described in the Third Schedule as a local purpose reserve (buffer zone), subject to the provisions of the Act.
