Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of the reserve described in the Schedule from
a recreation reserve to a reserve for local purpose (wildlife protection, maritime safety, cultural and visitor facilities), subject to the provisions of the Act.
