Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette,
12 June 2003, No. 65, page 1764, which was further amended in the New Zealand Gazette, 2 October 2003, No. 139, page 3721, and revoke the notice of direction to appoint a second limited statutory manager (finance) because of the risks to the operation of the school, the welfare and the educational performance of its students.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are vested in a remaining limited statutory manager:
? All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
? all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage the health and safety of students in both the college and the hostel (whether statutory or otherwise).
A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:
? Curriculum management; and
? consolidation of all new and improved systems into board management practice.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.
