Release of the Draft New Zealand Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy for Written Comment

Pursuant to section 15 of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000, the Minister of Energy hereby gives the following notice:
? The Draft New Zealand Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy (NZEECS) proposes ways to promote energy efficiency, energy conservation and the use of renewable sources of energy.
? It includes measures to reduce electricity demand, address energy use in transport, buildings and industry.
? It also promotes greater consideration of sustainable energy in the development of land, settlements and energy production.
Written submissions on the Draft NZEECS are now invited, and may be made to:
