Electricity Regulations (Recognition of Singaporean Certification Regimes) Notice 2006

Pursuant to Regulation 101 (10) of the Electricity Regulations 1997, I, Graham Boxall, acting under the delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, hereby give public notice that any certification body designated in accordance with Section 6 of Annex 4.1 (Product Chapter on Electrical and Electronic Equipment) of the “Agreement between New Zealand and Singapore on a Closer Economic Partnership” is recognised for the purposes of Regulation 101 (9).
This notice comes into force on the 1st day of March 2006.
This notice revokes the Notice of Singaporean Certification Regimes Recognised Under Regulation 101 (10) of the Electricity Regulations 1997 in Respect of Approval of Declared Articles dated the 21st day of December 2000 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 11 January 2001, No. 1, page 50.

Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect. This notice prescribes:
(a) an organisation, agency, programme, or regime recognised by the Secretary under Regulation 101 (10) of the Electricity Regulations 1997; and
(b) arrangements for the recognition of foreign designated certification bodies.
