Pursuant to section 77 (2) of the Electoral Act 1993, the Minister of Justice gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title—This notice may be cited as the Maori Option Notice 2006.
2. Commencement—This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
3. Period for exercise of Maori option—The period of four months during which, in 2006, any Maori may exercise the option given by section 76 (1) of the Electoral Act 1993, is the period beginning on 3 April 2006 and ending with the close of 2 August 2006.
