Marine Mammals
Pursuant to section 5 of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, the Director-General of Conservation notifies that
the following application was received from Sara Johanne Kruse Olsvig on 20 January 2006 to:
? import the following products from Greenland to
New Zealand for cultural purposes:
seal skin vest (harp seal: Phoca groenlandica);
seal skin bag (hooded seal: Cystophora cristata);
seal claw earrings (ringed seal: Phoca hispida); and
walrus tusk necklace and walrus tusk earrings (Odobenus romarus);
? hold the products listed above while in New Zealand; and
? export the products listed above to Frederiksberg, Greenland, on departure from New Zealand.
