Pursuant to section 160 (3) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, I, John Whitehead, Secretary to the Treasury, hereby give notice that on 12 July 2006, we, Barbara Disley, Acting Secretary for Education, and John Whitehead, Secretary to the Treasury, gave approval, under section 160 (1) (b)
of the Crown Entities Act 2004, in relation to section 161 of that Act, for each of the following school boards of trustees to acquire 2 x $1,000 equity securities issued by Canterbury Education Services:
Avonhead Primary School Board of Trustees (Christchurch);
Chisnallwood Intermediate School Board of Trustees (Christchurch);
Elmwood Normal School Board of Trustees (Christchurch);
Greymouth Main School Board of Trustees (Greymouth); and
Buller High School Board of Trustees (Westport).
