Notice of State and Integrated Schools Term Dates for 2007

Pursuant to sections 65A (1) and 65B (1) of the Education Act 1989, I prescribe the school term dates and the length of the primary school year for 2007.
The state and integrated school terms and dates are as follows:
2007 – TERM DATES FOR PRIMARY AND INTERMEDIATE SCHOOLS
Term 1 Wednesday, 7 February to Thursday, 5 April (84 half-days)
Term 2 Monday, 23 April to Friday, 29 June (96 half-days)
Term 3 Monday, 16 July to Friday, 21 September (100 half-days)
Term 4 Monday, 8 October to Thursday, 20 December (106 half-days)*
Total: 386 half-days
*Or Friday, 21 December for schools that exercise one day’s flexibility to close, or for schools in areas that celebrate their Anniversary Day in term time.
2007 – TERM DATES FOR SECONDARY AND COMPOSITE SCHOOLS
Term 1 Wednesday, 7 February to Thursday, 5 April (84 half-days)
Term 2 Monday, 23 April to Friday, 29 June (96 half-days)
Term 3 Monday, 16 July to Friday, 21 September (100 half-days)
Term 4 Monday, 8 October to Friday, 14 December (98 half-days)*
Total: 378 half-days
*Or to a day in December which ensures that the school has been open for instruction for 378 half-days in 2007.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.
