Notice of Intention to Consider Varying a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 87J (3) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, sections 41 (1) and 42 of the State Sector Act 1988, and
a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated
22 September 2004, I give notice that having received
an application from Air New Zealand Limited, the Minister of Transport intends to consider varying the scheduled international air service licence held by that airline in order to provide for:
? in respect of Hong Kong, the right to operate a daily service beyond to London;
? in respect of Japan, the right to operate B777 aircraft;
? in respect of the United Kingdom, the removal of restrictions on the right to carry traffic between the United Kingdom and third countries where the service starts or ends in New Zealand; and
? in respect of Vanuatu, the right to operate one service per week to points in Vanuatu, together with code-share capacity as filed with and acknowledged by the Secretary for Transport.
Any person wishing to make representations to the Minister of Transport relating to this application must forward
those representations in writing to reach me at the Ministry of Transport, P.O. Box 3175, Wellington, on or before
21 July 2006.
