Pursuant to section 5 of the District Courts Act 1947 and section 5 (1) of the Family Courts Act 1980, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint
Lex de Jong, barrister and solicitor of Hamilton
to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and
criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to exercise the jurisdiction of the Family Courts on and from 18 May 2006.
