Pursuant to section 295 (1) (b) of the Fisheries Act 1996,
the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Fisheries gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title—This is the Fisheries (Appointment of Commercial Fisheries Services Limited to Provide Fish Farmer and Aquaculture Agreement Registry Services Under Contract) Notice 2006.
2. Commencement—This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
3. Interpretation—In this notice:
Act means the Fisheries Act 1996.
Fish farmer and aquaculture agreement registry services means certain functions, duties and powers of the chief executive relating to fish farmer applications and lodgement of aquaculture agreements under Part 9A of the Act.
FishServe means Commercial Fisheries Services Limited.
4. Performance of powers, functions and duties of the chief executive—FishServe has been contracted by
the chief executive, under section 294 (1) (b) of the Act,
to provide fish farmer and aquaculture agreement registry services from 1 January 2006.
