Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager (Finance and Property: Building Project) for the Porirua College Board of Trustees because of risks to
the operation of the school.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board in relation to the Porirua College buildings replacement project are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:
? Financial management (whether statutory or otherwise) relating to the building project; and
? property management (whether statutory or otherwise) relating to the building project.
A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:
? Short and long term financial planning for all property maintenance and development; and
? effective property management systems and processes.
This notice takes effect on the day after the date of publication.
