Pursuant to section 161 (3) of the Land Transport Act 1998, notification is hereby given of the making of Land Transport Rule: Heavy-vehicle Brakes 2006 (Rule 32015).
This Rule will come into force on 1 March 2007.
Land Transport Rule: Heavy-vehicle Brakes 2006* sets
out requirements to ensure that heavy vehicles and heavy vehicle combinations can brake safely, with balanced brake performance, at any road-legal load condition.
The Rule is available for inspection free of charge at the National Office of Land Transport New Zealand, 7 Waterloo Quay, Wellington, and for purchase from September 2006 at bookshops that sell legislation or direct from Wickliffe Limited, P.O. Box 932, Dunedin, freephone 0800 226 440.
