Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, full recognition is granted for the New Zealand Painting Contractors Association of Employers Industry Training Organisation Incorporated to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the painting and paperhanging (defined as painting and decorating), signwriting and bricklaying, masonry and stonemasonry industries for a period of five years with effect from 25 September 2004.
