Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and clause 2.6 of the Land Transport Rule: Setting
of Speed Limits 2003 (Rule 54001), Transit New Zealand hereby amends the following bylaw.
A m e n d m e n t s
1. These amendments shall come into force 28 days after publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
2. The Transit New Zealand (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways) Bylaw 2005/7* is hereby amended by:
(a) Replacing line 436 in Schedule 3 to read:
“On: SH1
At: Otaihanga
From: RP 1012/7.77 to RP 1012/10.26
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
400m north of Otaihanga Road to the southern abutment of the bridge over Nikau Palm Grove.
Speed Restriction (km/h): 80”
(b) Replacing line 437 in Schedule 3 to read:
“On: SH1
At: Paraparaumu North
From: RP 1012/10.26 to RP 1023/1.01
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
Southern abutment of the bridge over Nikau Palm Grove to 370m north of Ihakara Street.
Speed Restriction (km/h): 50”
(c) Replacing line 490 in Schedule 3 to read:
“On: SH6
At: Wakefield North
From: RP 131/10.91 to RP 131/11.95
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
430m north-east of Bird Road to 50m north-east of Franklyn Close.
Speed Restriction (km/h): 70”
(d) Replacing line 491 in Schedule 3 to read:
“On: SH6
At: Wakefield
From: RP 131/11.95 to RP 131/13.29
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
50m north-east of Franklyn Close to 250m
south-west of Pigeon Valley Road.
Speed Restriction (km/h): 50”
These bylaw amendments as made by resolution passed at
a meeting of Transit New Zealand held in Wellington on
7 June 2006.
