Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and clause 2.6 of the Land Transport Rule: Setting
of Speed Limits 2003 (Rule 54001), Transit New Zealand hereby amends the following bylaw.
A m e n d m e n t s
1. These amendments shall come into force 28 days after publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
2. The Transit New Zealand (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways) Bylaw 2005/7* is hereby amended by:
(a) Replacing line 410 in Schedule 3 to read:
“Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
800m north of Makirikiri Valley Road to 50m south
of Makirikiri Valley Road.
Speed Restriction (km/h): 70”
(b) Replacing line 416 in Schedule 3 to read:
“From RP 0/8.36 to RP 11/0.33
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
140m north of Old Station Road to 20m east of the Mangateitei Steam Bridge.”
(c) Replacing line 420 in Schedule 3 to read:
“From RP 38/5.34 to RP 38/5.96
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
From 60m south of East Street to 540m south of Turners Road.”
(d) Replacing line 428 in Schedule 3 to read:
“From RP 36/13.73 to RP 50/2.59
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
20m south of Aokautere Drive intersection, north east along Aokautere Drive to 260m east of Petersens Road.”
(e) Replacing line 429 in Schedule 3 to read:
“From RP 50/2.59 to RP 50/4.49
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
From 260m east of Petersens Road to 960m east of Pahiatua Track.”
These bylaw amendments as made by resolution passed at
a meeting of Transit New Zealand held in Wellington on
2 November 2005.
