Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserves described in the Schedules to this notice as scenic reserves for the purposes specified in section 19 (1) (a) of the Act, and declares that the scenic reserve in the First Schedule is to be known as the Mataitai Scenic Reserve, the scenic reserve in the Second Schedule is to be known as the Whakatiri Scenic Reserve and the scenic reserve in the Third Schedule is to be known as the Richard Sylvan Memorial Scenic Reserve.
