Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for
the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of those parts
of the reserve described in the First Schedule from
a recreation reserve to a historic reserve, subject to
the provisions of the Act, and also appoints the North
Shore City Council to control and manage the reserve held for recreation purposes described in the Second Schedule, subject to the special condition that in the management of the reserve special recognition of the former military
parade ground, a historic feature, is provided for and it is maintained as open space.
