Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road Widening

—Manukau City
Notice is hereby given that the Manukau City Council
(“the council”), under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take land described in the Schedule below (“the land”).
The land is required for road widening purposes.
It is intended to use the land for part of a road system.
The intended taking is considered necessary for the safe, effective and convenient use of the road.
There are no other suitable or better alternative sites or routes for achieving council’s objectives in relation to
the widening of this particular road, being Waiouru Road (also known as Highbrook Drive, Manukau City).
The land use is in accordance with the designation under the district plan.
The owners of the land and the District Land Registrar have been served with notice of council’s intention to take the land with the owners having been advised of their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send
a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Department for Courts, P.O. Box 5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice,
a public hearing will be held.
The objector will have a right to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires.
Each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

All that piece of land containing 95 square metres situated at 16 Highbrook Drive, Manukau (part Computer Freehold Register NA68B/84 (North Auckland Registry)); being part of 16 Highbrook Drive, Manukau, being Section 1 on SO 362575, lodged with Land Information New Zealand Processing Centre.
A copy of the plan may also be seen at the council’s administration building, Level Nine, 31-33 Wiri Station Road, Manukau City Centre.
The land to be taken is part of 16 Highbrook Drive, Manukau City.
