Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Waikato Conservancy of the Department of Conservation appoints the Waipa District Council to control and manage the reserve for recreation purposes described
in the Schedule, subject to the special condition that a representative nominated by the Purekireki Marae Committee and a representative appointed by Te Kauhanganui o Waikato be included on any committee established by the council
to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the reserve.
