Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the two reserves as a local purpose (esplanade) reserve described in the Schedule and further, appoints the Manukau City Council to control
and manage the two reserves for local purpose (esplanade) reserve purposes.
