I hereby give notice that, under section 75 of the Animal Welfare Act 1999, the Animal Welfare (Painful Husbandry Procedures) Code of Welfare 2005 is issued and comes into force on 23 December 2005.
This notice also serves to revoke the Animals Protection (Docking of Tails) Regulations 1972 and the Animals Protection (Docking of Tails) Regulations 1972, Amendment No. 1.
The code of welfare is available for inspection free of charge and for purchase at the following address:
