Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992,
the New Zealand Road Transport & Logistics Industry Training Organisation Incorporated is granted full recognition as an industry training organisation to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the commercial road transport industry, the State Sector and New Zealand Defence Force for road transport related operations, the stevedoring and port industry (including the New Zealand Defence Force) covering port cargo handling, ship loading and unloading, and port marine services and the road transport logistics industry (covering warehousing but not wholesaling), and freight forwarding and distribution (specifically related
to the receipt, transhipment and breakdown of bulk and packaging for re-consignment) for a period of five years effective from 16 October 2005.
