Notice No. 1
Pursuant to the provisions of Schedule 1 of the Civil Union Act 2004, the Registrar-General hereby gives notice as follows.
N o t i c e
1. This notice may be cited as the Civil Union (Approval of Exempt Bodies) Notice No. 1.
2. Pursuant to Schedule 1 of the Civil Union Act 2004,
the Registrar-General has granted exemption from the requirements of the Act for the solemnisation of a civil union to:
The Religious Society of Friends, Aotearoa/New Zealand, Te Haahi Tuuhauwiri.
This exemption shall come into effect from the 3rd day of November 2005.
