Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette,
4 November 2004, page 3584, regarding the appointment
of a limited statutory manager for the Greenmeadows Intermediate School Board of Trustees because of risk
both to the operation of the school and to the educational performance of the students at the school.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in the limited statutory manager:
? All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise), including employment powers in relation to the Resource Teachers: Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) Manurewa Cluster.
The limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:
? Student achievement; and
? curriculum planning and delivery.
In relation to the Resource Teachers: Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) Manurewa Cluster, of which the board
is the fundholder, the obligations the board has, whether statutory or otherwise, for:
? Management of the RTLB programme; and
? financial management.
The following condition applies to the exercising of the powers by the limited statutory manager:
? Staff appointments must be made after consultation with the board.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.
