Pursuant to section 5 of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, the Director-General of Conservation notifies that the following application was received from The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa on 10 May 2005 to:
? Import/export marine mammal material held within the collection to/from authorised institutions or bona fide researchers for the sole purpose of research.

Any person wishing to make a submission on this application can do so by writing to the Manager, Marine Conservation Unit, within 28 days after publication of this notice.
Unless a person making a submission states to the contrary in the submission, that person will be deemed to give his/her consent to the release, under the Official Information Act 1982, of all the information in the submission.
