Pursuant to section 60 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries, after consultation with representative organisations that have an interest in section 60 and after consideration of the matters specified in section 60 (3) of the Fisheries Act 1996, hereby gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice 2005.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
2. Exemption to quota aggregation limit for scampi—
As from the date that this notice comes into effect and for
a period of five years after that date, consent is given
for Sanford Limited to hold quota shares for scampi having a combined quota weight equivalent less than or equal to 42.66% of the combined total allowable commercial catches of scampi.
3. Exemption to quota aggregation limit for trevally— As from the date that this notice comes into effect, consent is given for Sanford Limited to hold quota shares for trevally having a combined quota weight equivalent less than or equal to 43.67% of the combined total allowable commercial catches of trevally.
