Pursuant to Regulation 15 (3) of the Marine Mammals Protection Regulations 1992, I, Alastair Morrison, Acting Director-General of Conservation, amend the declaration notice dated the 8th day of September 2003 and published
in the New Zealand Gazette, 25 September 2003, No. 136, page 3678, by declaring that, for the remaining term of the notice and in addition to the restrictions and prohibitions already imposed, no new permits shall be granted for the following commercial operations:
1. Viewing New Zealand fur seals within 300 metres of Tonga Island, Abel Tasman National Park.
2. Viewing New Zealand fur seals within 300 metres of Pinnacle Island, Abel Tasman National Park.
This declaration does not apply to any applications to renew existing commercial permits for the locations specified above.
