1. Pursuant to section 172E (3) (b) of the Electricity Act 1992 (prior to amendment by the Electricity Amendment
Act 2004), I notify that the Electricity Governance Amendment Rules (No. 5) 2004 (“the amendment rules”), which were made under urgency in accordance with section 172E (3) of the Electricity Act 1992 on 5 August 2004, will not be revoked, replaced or amended.
2. Pursuant to section 172E (3) of the Electricity Act 1992, the reasons for my decision not to revoke, replace or amend the amendment rules are that:
? No submissions received on the amendment rules identified any concerns that need to be addressed by revoking, replacing or amending the amendment rules; and
? the reasons for making the amendment rules remain valid.
3. Copies of the rules may be inspected free of charge or purchased from the Electricity Commission, Level Seven, ASB Bank Tower, 2 Hunter Street, Wellington.
