Pursuant to section 26 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority hereby determines that the seven human medicines containing live organisms:
Varicella-zoster virus (human herpesvirus 3);
Rubella virus (RUBV);
Measles virus (MeV);
Mumps virus (MuV);
Mycobacterium bovis (Karlson and Lessel 1970);
Salmonella typhi (Schroeter 1886) Warren and Scott 1930; and
Yellow fever virus (YFV)
are not new organisms under section 26 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act 1996
(“the Act”).
