This notice of a recommendation and assessment concerning the Electricity Governance Rules 2003 (“Rules”), Electricity Governance Amendment Rules (No. 21) 2005, is issued
by the Electricity Commission (“Commission”), established under the Electricity Act 1992 (“Act”), pursuant to section 172E (3) (a) (iii) of that Act.
Section 172E (3) (a) (iii) provides that, no later than 10 working days after making a recommendation concerning the Rules to the Minister of Energy, the Commission must publicise the recommendation and the assessment completed under section 172F of the Act.
Recommendation
On 7 September 2005, the Commission made a recommendation to the Minister of Energy, pursuant
to section 172E (3) (a) (ii) of the Act, that Rule 7.1 of section IV of Part F of the Rules (as amended by
the Minister on 24 March 2005 in reliance on section 172E (3)) should not be revoked, replaced or amended.
