Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Wanganui Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a scenic reserve for the purposes specified in section 19 (1) (a) of the Act and further declares the reserve is to be known as Taungatara Scenic Reserve.
