Recommendation to Vary a Maori Reservation

Whereas by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 23 August 2001, No. 97, page 2534, the Maori freehold land described in the First Schedule hereto was set aside as a Maori reservation for the purposes of camping and recreation, known as Hawaiki Wairau Reserve, for the common use and benefit of the owners of the former block known as Wairau North 2F and the beneficial descendants of Hana Hemo Paniora, Taurau Paniora and Te Rauhanga Pickering.
And whereas on recommendation of the Maori Land Court, pursuant to section 338 (5) (a) and section 338 (2) (4) of
Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, Hawaiki Wairau Reserve is hereby varied, firstly excluding from the said Maori Reservation the area described in the Second Schedule hereto for the purposes of a road and secondly to include in the said Maori reservation the closed road described in the Third Schedule hereto.

5400 Part Wairau North 2F1, situated in Block XIII, Waoku Survey District, being part of the land contained in Partition Order of the Maori Land Court dated 19 October 2000 and described in certificate of title NA1327/48.
Second Schedule
Area m2 Description
1584 Part Wairau North 2F1, situated in Block XIII, Waoku Survey District, described as Sections 1 and 2, comprising 1142 and 442 square metres respectively, as delineated on plan SO 70313 held in Te Tai Tokerau District Maori Land Court and being part of the land contained in Partition Order of the Maori Land Court dated 9 October 2000 and described in certificate of title NA1327/48.
Third Schedule
Area m2 Description
1628 Part Wairau North 2F1, situated in Block XIII, Waoku Survey District, described as Section 3 on plan SO 70313 held in Te Tai Tokerau District Maori Land Court.
