Notice is hereby given that the Tasman District Council, pursuant to section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, intends to take the land described in the Schedule to this notice for sewer purposes:
(a) The land extends from the north-western end of Somerville Lane, Brightwater, to Bryant Road, Brightwater, and adjoins properties numbered 1 and 11 Bryant Road, 5 Ellis Street and 7 Somerville Lane.
(b) The land is to be used for sewer purposes and vested in the Tasman District Council.
(c) The taking is considered reasonably necessary to provide for Tasman District Council ownership of the land in order to protect existing sewer pipes being part of a major council infrastructural asset.
Objections to the taking of the land may be made in writing to the Registrar, Environment Court, Ministry of Justice, P.O. Box 5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
