Section 16 (1) of the Reserves Act 1977 allows the Queenstown Lakes District Council ("the council") to classify recreation reserves.
Under the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977, the council passed a resolution at its meeting of 24 October 2003, to declare as recreation reserve the land described in the Schedule hereto.

All that piece of land being 129.2977 hectares, more or less, and described as part Section 110, Block XX, Shotover Survey District, and 1.0590 hectares, more or less, and described as Section 1, Block XX, Shotover Survey District, and 1.7367 hectares, more or less, and described as part Section 109, Block XX, Shotover Survey District, and 67.8680 hectares, more or less, and described as part Section 104, Block XX, Shotover Survey District.
