Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Thames-Coromandel District Council notifies that the following resolution was passed by the council on 20 February 2003:
"That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Thames-Coromandel District Council resolves to declare that land held in fee simple by the council and described in the following Schedule to be declared recreation reserve."

2.6125 hectares, more or less, being part of the land on Deposited Plan 1961 and being part Kaipapaka Block, being those parts of the land in certificate of title SA1045/92; marked "A" and "B" on S.O. Plan 320748.
