Pursuant to section 52 (1) (b) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Roger Kenneth McLeod, Land Information New Zealand, declares the land described in the Schedule to this notice to be set apart for recreation purposes and vested in the Waikato District Council on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
In the event of this land becoming surplus to the requirements of the Waikato District Council, then Maori claim interests will be considered as per Cabinet Directives along with any statutory obligation prior to offering the land for sale on the open market.
