Nurses (Fees) Notice 2004

Pursuant to section 130 (1) of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, the following notice is given.
N o t i c e
1. Title and commencement-This notice may be cited as the Nurses (Fees) Notice 2004 and shall come into force on
28 October 2004.
2. Fees-The Nursing Council of New Zealand ("the council") sets the following fees, payable to the council, specified in
the Schedule to this notice.
3. Tax-The fees are inclusive of goods and services tax.
4. Revocation-This notice revokes those published in New Zealand Gazette, 26 August 2004, page 2585.

A. REGISTRATION FEES $
Application for registration as registered nurse or nurse assistant 30.00
Application for registration as nurse practitioner 400.00
Addition to Register 25.00
Processing fee for application for registration (overseas) 166.00
Processing fee for application for registration (under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997) 60.00
Restoration of name to the Register following removal under Part 4 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 or Part IV of the Nurses Act 1977 280.00

B. ANNUAL PRACTISING CERTIFICATE (APC) OR INTERIM PRACTISING CERTIFICATE
Annual practising certificate 50.00
Quarterly annual practising certificate levy :
3 months or any part, thereof 12.50
6 months 25.00
9 months 37.50

C. ISSUE OF COPY OF CERTIFICATE
Copy of registration or practising certificate 16.00

D. INFORMATION ON REGISTER
Supply of copy of Register entry 16.00
Inspection of the Register 16.00
Verification of New Zealand registration 34.00
Verification of education programme 34.00

E. EXAMINATION FEES
Registered nurse and nurse assistant 80.00

F. FEES FOR EDUCATION PROGRAMMES
Accreditation of education institution/programme provider 2,000.00
Full audit of undergraduate programme 5,000.00
Accreditation of nurse assistant programme 1,000.00
Shortened audit of programme or approval of curriculum changes 2,000.00
Audit/accreditation of post-graduate nursing programme 1,700.00
Audit/approval of nurse prescribing programme 2,400.00
Accreditation/Audit/recognition of competence programme 500.00
Fees for late transcripts 100.00

This fee is non refundable.
One fee may be charged when an audit includes simultaneous assessment and recognition/accreditation of the programme and/or provider.
