Pursuant to clause 14 of the Commodity Levies (Meat) Order 2004, notice is hereby given that, from the earlier of the following:
(a) 1 October 2004;
(b) the date that Part 7 (Levy on Livestock) of the Meat Board Act 1997 is repealed,
the rates of meat levies (exclusive of G.S.T.) and bases of calculation shall be:
(a) Sheepmeat levy - all sheep slaughtered $0.40 per head;
(b) Goatmeat levy - all goats slaughtered $0.55 per head; and
(c) Beef levy - all cattle slaughtered (including beef cattle, dairy cattle but excluding bobby calves) $3.60 per head.
