Session in Respect of Molima Molly Pihigia, Enrolled Nurse
Pursuant to sections 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (b), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand ("the council"), in a decision dated 23 December 2003, ordered that Molima Molly Pihigia, enrolled nurse, be suspended from practice for a period of one year.
The council also ordered that Molima Molly Pihigia pay $11,080.00, being 40% of the actual costs and expenses of and incidental to the investigation by the Preliminary Proceedings Committee and inquiry by the council, and that a notice stating the effect of the orders be published in
the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand, the Nursing Review, the nursing council's newsletter and released to accredited members of the media with the name of the institution and names of the patients and staff members suppressed.
