Te Amorangi Matauranga Matua approved, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, full recognition for the Pharmacy Industry Training Organisation Incorporated to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the pharmacy industry, defined as the dispensing and preparation of pharmaceutical products,
the provision of advice on illness prevention and the selection and sale of non-prescription medicines, therapies, diagnostic and therapeutic aids in the pharmacy setting for a further period of five years with effect from 26 December 2003.
